Job Summary:

TaxSlayer is seeking a skilled and motivated Digital Analytics Lead to help manage our digital analytics data initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tagging configurations across various tools. You will ensure alignment in the meaning, usage, and documentation of data across the organization, particularly that within the digital analytics realm. The ideal candidate will work closely with product, marketing, development, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tagging Configuration Management: Configure and manage deployment of tagging across all digital tools and platforms. Ensure consistent and accurate data collection that meets business requirements.
  • Tool Administration: Manage the integration of various digital analytics tools, ensuring they are properly configured and meet the needs of the business. Example tools include Google Tag Manager, user analytics tools such as Heap, Content Square, GA4, advertising implementations such as Google Floodlights, and Reverse ETL tools such as Hightouch.
  • DataLayer Management: Inform the dataLayer design across business units. Ensure the dataLayer is accurately capturing all necessary data points and supports the business’s analytics and reporting needs. Collaborate with development teams to integrate and update the dataLayer as needed.
  • Data Alignment and Documentation: Align data usage and definitions across departments. Maintain thorough documentation of data implementations, ensuring clear and accessible records.
  • Compliance and Information Security: Ensure all tagging configurations and data implementations comply with relevant data protection laws and internal security policies. Safeguard data integrity and privacy by implementing secure data practices and staying updated on industry regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between product teams, marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure digital analytics data strategies are aligned with business goals.
  • Vendor Management: Work with external vendors to understand their data capabilities and how they can be leveraged to support TaxSlayer’s data strategy.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement testing and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of digital analytics data. Address any data quality issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in digital analytics, data implementation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with tagging tools such as Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in analytics platforms (e.g., Heap, Google Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and other web technologies related to tagging.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a collaborative mindset.
