Role Overview

TaxSlayer is looking for a Social Care and Engagement Intern who is interested in being a part of a team focused on brand reputation, customer communication, and social media responsiveness.

The Social Care and Engagement Intern will listen and monitor social media for all TaxSlayer accounts ensuring efforts are consistent, engaging, and on-brand. This person will work across all social platforms and monitor sentiment and trends in customer communication.

This individual will have both an awareness and curiosity for emerging trends and changes in the social realm. Must be truly customer-obsessed and detail oriented as they monitor brand reputation for a company with millions of customers nationwide. Our interns work in close collaboration with the TaxSlayer marketing and customer support teams.

Social Care and Engagement Intern Responsibilities

  • Monitor all social media accounts for TaxSlayer brands
  • Create regular reporting to share common themes
  • Monitor, listen and respond in a way that aligns with our commitment to be customer-obsessed
  • Monitor online reviews and respond to each review
  • Ensure TaxSlayer’s brand reputation is enhanced by social media activities; integrating with PR to actively manage through communication issues present on social media
  • Conduct social media audits
  • Assist on day-to-day tasks as needed

Social Care and Engagement Intern – Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a marketing, journalism, creative writing, communications, or related degree from an accredited university, must be a junior or senior
  • Interest in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for writing
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn
  • A proactive, service-focused attitude towards the teams you support internally
  • Operates under a newsroom mentality
  • Proficient with social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task well under pressure
  • Experience in Sprout Social a plus
